Amaran: Sai Pallavi’s Statement Sparks Fan Outrage and New Controversy. Amaran, Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy features Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in lead roles. The film made its theatrical debut this Diwali and is based on the inspiring life of Major Mukund Varadharajan. The movie is a huge success with impressive box office numbers. The film’s cast has been celebrating the successful meet of Amaran across the states. And Sai Pallavi has become the centre of controversy again. Let’s find out what happened at the success meet.
Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran is surely one of the best Diwali releases. And the film is a massive hit. Amaran received a positive response from both critics and audiences alike. Despite the heavy competition from big films Amaran maintained its pace at the box office and proved it’s one of the best Diwali films of 2024. While celebrating the film’s success in Telugu states in a success meet of Amaran, Sai Pallavi’s statement has quite stirred the Sk’s fans.
In the press meeting, Sai Pallavi said, “I thought Sivakarthikeyan was a household name in Tamil Nadu, but he’s now one here too. Someone told me I got my big blockbuster in Tamil with him. Similarly, I am happy his first blockbuster in Telugu has been with me. I hope his next films also receive such appreciation.”
But Sivakarthikeyan fans don’t seem to agree with Sai Pallavi’s statement. They have been pouring comments appreciating his previous work in “Don” and “Doctor” which did very well in southern states. Though Amaran was a massive hit for Sivakarthikeyan his fans felt that it was not his first major Telugu hit. However, Sai Pallavi purely praised Sivakarthikeyan despite the controversy.
On its first day, the film made its box office debut with Rs 21.4 Crores. The second day saw a dip in collections with Rs 19.15 Crore following the third day with Rs 21.4 Crore. By the weekend on the fourth day, the film managed its momentum and collected Rs 21 crores. Now the total collections stand at Rs 83.45 Crores.
