Anupama Parameswaran Sets Record with Six Films in 2025

Anupama Parameswaran: Malayalam actress Anupama Parameswaran, who has created a fan base in the South film industry, has been given back-to-back movies this year. Almost all of her long-pending movies are hitting theatres, and now she has given almost six movies back-to-back this year. Reportedly, she has taken around two to three years of gap and started working again in 2025. With this, a total of six films starring Anupama are releasing in 2025 alone, four already out and two more arriving this week.

Her first film this year was with Pradeep Ranganathan in the bilingual film Dragon, which had a Telugu release. Following that, she delivered a Malayalam courtroom drama starring Suresh Gopi, Janaki V vs State of Kerala. Initially, this film faced a few censorship hurdles, but after the clearance, the release didn’t bring good collections and didn’t run properly at the box office.

Her next film after this courtroom drama was Parada, produced by Cinema Bandi and Shubham director Praveen Kadregula. Even though this film didn’t meet the expectations and didn’t run in box-office well. Her fourth release, Kishkindhapuri, marked her reunion with Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas after Rakshasudu. While it underperformed theatrically, it gained popularity on OTT platforms.

Now, Anupama is treating her fans to a Diwali double delight. The Pet Detective, released on Thursday, which is in Malayalam, has already received a good response from the audience. Now her next Tamil film, Bison, is going to be released this Friday. Bison, directed by Mari Selvaraj, stars Dhruv Vikram in the lead and is set against a kabaddi backdrop. The Telugu version will release on October 24.

Anupama earlier revealed that she had missed a chance to work with Mari Selvaraj’s film Pariyerum Perumal. But she is collaborating through Bison. People are waiting to see her in this movie. People are also expecting will this film will work well in Box-office for this talented actress.
