The filmmakers are reportedly not holding back in terms of spending. Some parts of the movie have already been filmed in unique and scenic locations like the Himalayas and at the grand Maha Kumbh Mela. Additionally, several high-end sets have been built just for this project. An important shooting schedule in Nepal is still pending. It is expected to take a week and will include a large number of VFX shots adding to the overall cost.

Earlier, Balakrishna’s film Daaku Maharaaj was made with a budget of ₹130 crore. But with Akhanda 2, the production scale has increased significantly and it is expected to be 200 crores. The makers are aiming to deliver a film that is not only emotionally powerful but also visually rich.

What makes Akhanda 2 special is its goal of reaching a national audience. The team is working carefully on dialogues and scenes that will connect with Hindi speaking viewers too. The movie will focus on Indian culture and spiritual themes, hoping to attract audiences across all regions.

Balakrishna’s role in this film, especially his Aghora avatar, is expected to stand out. His intense performance and the film’s spiritual tone are likely to attract viewers beyond the Telugu-speaking states.

After gaining popularity in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and even among audiences in the US, Balakrishna now has his eyes on North India. With Akhanda 2, he hopes to expand his fanbase across the country.

A source close to the production says, “This is Balakrishna’s biggest pan-India attempt. The strong theme and powerful performance will surely make a nationwide impact.”

Meanwhile Akhanda part 1 was a massive hit. It was produced by Miryala Ravinder Reddy under Dwaraka Creations. It stars Nandamuri Balakrishna in a dual role alongside Pragya Jaiswal, Jagapathi Bab and Srikanth. The soundtrack album and film score is composed by Thaman S that bagged blockbuster.
