The documentary also featured clips from all of her movies playing a huge part in her career. One among them is from Chandramukhi her Tamil debut. As soon as the release, rumours started to spread that the Chandramukhi team had charged Rs 5 crore for footage use in her documentary. Now the makers have sent an open letter clarifying the rumours.
Yesterday on 6th January 2025, the makers of Chandramukhi took their official social media handles to share an open letter regarding the Nayanthara documentary. On the official Twitter account, they posted a letter with a caption. “Chandramukhi team claiming ₹5⃣ cr compensation from Nayanthara Netflix documentary is UNTRUE.” They have shared the official No objection letter for footage use. The letter read, “We confirm that Rowdy Pictures has been granted permission to use. Reproduce, distribute, and/or sub-license the aforementioned video footage exclusively for use in the Netflix series “Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale.” They further added, “We further declare that we shall hold Rowdy Pictures. (along with affiliates, licensees/sub-licensees, and assigns) harmless from any claims and/or disputes arising out of the use of the video footage as authorized under the certificate/letter.”
