The actor turned director took to his social media account and dropped the much anticipated first looks of from his fourth directorial project, Idly Kadai on Instagram, stating, Idli kadai first look, stay connected to your roots.The film is set to release worldwide on April 10, 2025.

Nithya Menen and Dhanush all set to entertain the audience with their stellar chemistry in Idly Kadai after the recent blockbuster film Thiruchitrambalam. Actress Nithya Menen won a National award for her outstanding performance in the romantic drama. The film ensemble cast includes Raj Kiran, Shalini Pandey, Arun Vijay, and others in crucial roles.

The national award winner previously starred in his own directorial flick Raayan and received critical appraise for his direction and execution. The neo-noir action film was the actor’s second directorial endeavor following Pa Pandi. The film follows the life of Raayan, a guy who lives in North Chennai with his siblings and runs a fast food van. However, due to a quarrel provoked by his younger brother, Raayan is caught up in a gang battle between two local gangsters, resulting in a series of bad events and revenge.

He is also directing Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK). The coming-of-age romantic film was co-written by the actor and stars his nephew Pavish in the lead role, making his debut. The film’s also stars Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Mathew Thomas, Venkatesh Menon, Rabiya Khatoon, and many more play significant roles in the film, which is set to be released on February 7, 2025.

Dhanush’s next projects include Telugu debut film Kubera hemled by critically acclaimed Telugu filmmaker Sekhar Kammula. The film also stars Nagarjuna Akkineni in the major role, with Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady. The action entertainer is expected to hit silver screens in 2025.
