Dhanush will play the lead role in it and is being produced by Abhishek Agarwal Arts and T-Series. The film will explore Kalam’s inspiring life from Rameswaram to Rashtrapati Bhavan. The prestigious film was officially announced at the Cannes Film Festival.

This biopic will be titled ‘Kalam’. The tagline is ‘Missile Man of India’. National Award-winning actor Dhanush will play the lead role in it. Bollywood filmmaker Om Raut will direct the film ‘Kalam’. Abhishek Agarwal Arts, AK Entertainments, and T-Series will jointly produce this crazy project. Abhishek Agarwal, Anil Sunkara, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar are acting as producers. On this occasion, ‘From Rameshwaram to Rashtrapati Bhavan, a legendary journey begins.. Om Raut last faced criticism for directing the film ‘Adipurush’ with Prabhas. This film, based on the Ramayana, did not achieve the expected success at the box office. At that time, the director was trolled a lot. After taking a break, Om created a sensation with the announcement of the Abdul Kalam biopic. If we look at Om Raut’s filmography, he has mostly directed biographies. He has made the films ‘Lokamanya’ as a biopic of Bal Gangadhar Tilak, ‘Tanaji’ as a historical movie, and ‘Adipurush’ with the story of Sri Ram. The journey of Bharat Ratna awardee Dr. Abdul Kalam, from Rameswaram to Rashtrapati Bhavan, is inspiring to many. He served as the Prime Minister’s Scientific Advisor and the 11th President of India.
