Jeethu Joseph is currently working on ‘Drishyam 3.’ The makers have announced that this film will be produced on a pan-India scale and will be dubbed and released in multiple languages. However, questions have arisen about whether the producers’ plans will succeed or fall flat. The debate has begun regarding whether Mohanlal is taking a big risk with this venture. We will have to wait and see what happens.
Everyone knows how sensational the Drishyam franchise is. It is said that these movies have provided full meals to the audience who like suspense and crime movies. The story is about how the hero saves his family from a murder that happened under unexpected circumstances. It is against this backdrop that the tricks he uses, the plan he makes to escape from his opponents, and even the way he misleads the court, create suspense. The police fail to collect evidence even though they know that the hero’s family committed the murder. Even though the police works hard to collect evidence, he manipulates it and escapes punishment. The ‘Drishyam franchise’ has created a sensation with many twists. These films starred Venkatesh in Telugu, Kamal Haasan in Tamil, Ajay Devgn in Hindi, and Ravichandran in Kannada. Jeethu is currently working on ‘Drishyam 3’ . With this, everyone thought that this movie would also be remade in other languages by the respective heroes. However, producer Antony Perumbavoor gave those heroes an unexpected shock. He announced that the movie ‘Drishyam 3′ is being made on a pan India level. It will be dubbed in all languages and released.
But will the producers’ plan work out or will it backfire? Now the debate has started. Because the audiences of the respective languages want to see their heroes in the roles of the Drishyam series movies. As for Telugu, Venkatesh naturally played the role of the head of the house, Rambabu, in both the movies. The locations and characters in the village, set in the backdrop of Vizianagaram, are all very familiar to our grandchildren. Now, if the Malayalam movie ‘Drishyam 3’ is dubbed directly in Telugu, Telugu audience may not like it much.
The same goes for Tamil, Kannada and Hindi audiences. That is why some are advising that it would be better for the makers to not get greedy and release ‘Drishyam 3’ only in Malayalam and sell the remake rights to other languages. On the other hand, there is a rumor that Ajay Devgan is preparing a different story for the third part. Let’s wait and see, how things will turn out.
