Dulquer Salmaan’s Production in Casting Couch Controversy

Casting Couch Allegations: Dulquer Salmaan’s production firm has become embroiled in controversy amid the success of “Lokah,” when a lady allegedly lodged a complaint alleging she was put through a casting couch in the company’s name.

Media reports state that the complaint specifically names Associate Director Dhinil Babu. After the allegation surfaced, Dulquer Salmaan’s production company formally reported the incident to FEFKA and the Thevara Police Station. The company clarified that Dhinil Babu has never worked on any of its projects and has no affiliation with Wayfarer Films.

Complaint Details:

The woman stated in her complaint that Dhinil Babu called her, claiming to offer a role in a Wayfarer Films production. She said he asked her to meet him at a building near the company’s Panampilly Nagar office. When she arrived, Dhinil allegedly took her into a room and tried to assault her, threatening to ruin her future in the Malayalam film industry if she refused to cooperate. The woman also submitted voice messages as evidence in her police complaint.

Wayfarer Films clarified that the alleged harassment had no connection with the company and that they never approved or authorized such behavior. The company further stated that the complaint against Dhinil Babu aims to prevent the misuse of Wayfarer Films’ name and to protect the banner from false casting couch allegations.

Response from Dulquer Salmaan Production House:

The production company clarified that it shares legitimate casting calls only through its verified social media accounts. It also warned aspiring actors not to fall for fake offers or deceptive promises. The Ernakulam South Police filed a case and launched an official investigation into the incident. Officials also reported the allegations to FEFKA for further action. Wayfarer Films assured the public that Dhinil Babu has no connection with any of its projects and stated that any claim of his association with the company is false.
