Pawan Kalyan and Soundarya Film:
Tollywood Power star and current Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Pawan Kalyan has worked with several actresses throughout his career. While a few of these actresses cemented their place as star heroines, some faded from the limelight. However, one notable pairing that never happened was with actress Soundarya. Despite early plans for a film together, Pawan Kalyan’s decision led to a missed collaboration, and the actress was replaced in the movie.

Initially Soundarya was selected to star opposite Pawan Kalyan in the film Sushwagatham under the direction of Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao. However, at that time, Soundarya had already become a star actress, while Pawan Kalyan was still a newcomer in the industry. In fact, Sushwagatham was only Pawan’s third movie. While Soundarya was initially chosen as the heroine, Pawan Kalyan rejected her for the role leading to the casting of another actress Devanayani.

Despite this, Sushwagatham became a big hit and played a significant role in launching Pawan Kalyan’s career. The movie was a turning point for him and established him as a powerful figure in Tollywood. The film conveyed the message that life and goals should take priority over love which resonated with many youths. Pawan Kalyan’s portrayal of the lead role was well received by the audience.
