The Malayalam language sci-fi comedy film Gaganachari is making its debut online after having a limited release back on June 21, 2024. The movie directed by Arun Chandu features Gokul Suresh and Anarkali Marikar in leading roles.

Film’s director Arun Chandu took to his Instagram account and made an official announcement of film’s Ott release date. Arun wrote,” No promo, no warning. Earth wasn’t even ready! The sci-fi comedy film follows dystopian version of Kerala in 2043, an apartment inhabited by three bachelors becomes a refuge for an extraterrestrial female fugitive. The film stars Gokul Suresh, Aju Varghese, Anarkali Marikar, K. B. Ganesh Kumar, Anantharaman Ajay ,Aleena ,Shruthi , Suresh Gopi ,Mallika Sukumaran and Abraham Avangelin Joseph in the lead roles. It is said that director Arun Chandu and the Gaganachari team are planning to expand the Gaganachari universe with their next feature, starring actor Suresh Gopi in the lead role within the same storyline.

The movie  was premiered on 28 January at the Kochi Panambilly Nagar Rotary Club and later released on 21 June 2024 to mostly positive responses. The makers had already announced that a feature film would follow Maniyan Chittappan, played by actor and Union minister Suresh Gopi in the lead. The first look of the same was unveiled by the makers, which depicted the actor as a mad scientist.

Now, the film is all set to entertain Malayalam worldwide cinematic fans as it is streaming on OTT platform Amazon Prime Video from October 26, 2024.
