The renowned production and distribution house, Hombale Films known for the block buster Kannada hit franchises KGF and Kantara had earlier announced three films with Prabhas and now officially announced another mythology film Mahavatar Narsimha . The teaser is an animated look at the epic battle between good and evil, and the appearance of the man-lion avatar of Lord Vishnu. It is bankrolled by Kleem Productions and serves as the first tale in the Mahavatar series. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Narasimha is the fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He killed the king of asuras, Hiranyakashipu, in the form of a part-lion, part-man.

Hombale produced pan India block buster films like Prashanth Neel directorial period action film K.G.F: Chapter 1, K.G.F: Chapter 2 and Rishab Shetty directorial and starrer action thriller film Kantara, all these three film together grossed more than Rs1850 crores worldwide. They recently bankrolled Sriimurali starrer Bagheera directed by Dr. Suri. A prequel called Kantara: Chapter 1 has been announced and is in the pre production stage.
