“I’m Not That Comfortable in My Sexuality”: Samantha’s Bold Revelation

“I’m Not That Comfortable in My Sexuality”: Samantha’s Bold Revelation

Samantha’s Bold Revelation: Samantha Ruth Prabhu shocked everyone with her bold dance number Oo Antava in the hit film Pushpa: The Rise. Known for playing sweet and soft-spoken characters, this was a completely new avatar for the actress. While many thought she did it to grab attention, Samantha recently revealed the real reason behind taking up the song—and it had nothing to do with glamour.

Samantha’s Bold Revelation:

Speaking openly, Samantha shared, “I, through my life, have never considered myself a good-looking, hot woman.” She added that she didn’t do the song to prove anything to others but to challenge herself. “As much as people learn to think that I do things to make statements for other people, I more often than not do it to challenge myself.”

She explained that the focus of the song wasn’t even on the dance steps. “It was not just about the dance. In fact, there weren’t even many steps. It was about the attitude and the fierce, confident, comfortable in her sexuality. All of these, I am not.”

Samantha said she usually gets cast in cute, girl-next-door roles. So, when she got a chance to break that image, she saw it as a personal task. “I was always playing the cute, bubbly, next-door, demure. Who thinks of me for a special song where I look really hot?”

She made it clear that this was not a new direction for her career. It was just something she wanted to try once. “So it was honestly a challenge to myself. And I was only going to do it once because it was just a challenge that I accepted and I went for it.”
