Kalyani Priyadarshan: After the great success of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, Malayalam cinema seems to have found a new face in visual grandeur. With Dominic Arun at the helm, the movie cast Kalyani Priyadarshan in the titular role of Neeli, or Chandra, and established itself as one of the grossing Malayalam films of all time. It has now surpassed all box office collections to become the highest-grossing woman-oriented film in South India, on the verge of the ₹300 crore club.
While Lokah continues to dream, Kalyani has again gone viral showcasing a belly dance from her upcoming film Genie. The new song features Kalyani along with Ravi Mohan, Krithi Shetty, and provides a completely unexpected view of the actress. Her casual vibe going with her jeans, with the graceful yet fiery dance moves, has set the social media in storm, opening a floodgates of reactions.
Many fans were quick to bless the actress for something new, calling it “a stunning performance” and commenting, “This isn’t our Neeli-she’s fire!” On the other side, some shares felt a bit in-between, saying that perhaps a bold move like this was not needed for the star they loved in Lokah.
