Lokesh Kanagaraj pens gratitude note thanking cast and crew of on LEO

Lokesh Kanagaraj , the most celebrated Tamil director of recent times penned gratitude note thanking LEO ‘s cast and crew on film’s anniversary.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj took to his X account and wrote,” So many learnings, so many memories, so many exciting moments .The film that will always stay close to my heart, #Leo .Love you so much ,@actorvijay anna for making it happen . Eternally grateful to all the people who have spent their sweat and blood for this film, and the audience #1Year Of Leo.” He also shared a pic with actor Thalapathy Vijay from the movie sets.

Leo is is the third standalone film from Lokesh Cinematic Universe ( LCU) and is inspired by Hollywood action films A History of Violence. It follows Parthi portrayed by Thalapathy Vijay, a cafe owner , who is pursued by gangsters brothers Antony , portrayed by Arjun Sarjja and Harold Das, portrayed by Sanjay Dutt, who suspect him to be Antony’s estranged son, Leo.

The action entertainer was released worldwide on 19 October 2023 in multiple languages with any audio release and received mixed reviews from critics, with praise for Thalapathy Vijay, Trisha Krishann’s performance, technical aspects and the action sequences.

The action entertainer set several box office records for a Tamil film, emerging as the second highest-grossing Tamil film of 2023, the seventh highest-grossing Indian film of 2023, third highest-grossing Tamil film of all time, the highest-grossing Tamil film overseas and the highest-grossing film in Tamil Nadu.

In a recent conversation with a media director Lokesh revealed that he is planning for Rolex standalone movie and a multi starrer starring all the lead actors from the Lokesh Cinematic Universe ( LCU). Lokesh is directing the film Coolie starring South Superstar Rajnikanth ,Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj and Upendra in the lead roles.

The upcoming action entertainer marks Nagarjuna’s Kollywood debut and is scheduled to hit the theaters worldwide in 2025 in standard and IMAX formats in multiple languages.
