Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko Arrested in Drug Case

Kerala Police arrested Malayalam star Shine Tom Chacko on suspicion of drug use. The actor was detained by the Kochi City Police on Saturday, April 19, 2025. Following this, they have questioned him for more than four hours at the Ernakulam Town North Police Station. This follows his acquittal in a narcotics case earlier this year.

Previously, the actor fled from the hotel while the raid was being conducted. The raid was carried out by the authorities after receiving information of illegal use of drugs, but before the narcotics police reached the location, Shine Tom Chacko is said to have walked out dramatically. These visuals went viral on the internet.

Take A Look At The Visuals:

Allegations on Shine Tom Chacko:

Malayalam Actress Vinci Soni has accused Tom Chacko of using drugs and acting inappropriately. She said that he had acted indecently and under the influence of drugs during a filming session. Which made her very uncomfortable during the shoot.

Malayalam film actor Vincy Aloshious has filed formal complaint with the Kerala Film Chamber against fellow actor Shine Tom Chacko, accusing him of inappropriate behaviour on the sets of the upcoming film Soothravakyam. A few days after she publicly declared that she would not work with the actors who use drugs.

According to Saji Nanthyatt, general secretary of the Film Chamber, strict action will be taken against the actor after a proper process. Aloshious has also brought up the alleged misbehaviour with the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). The convenor of the AMMA ad hoc committee, Jayan Cherthala, stated that the organisation supports Aloshious and promised the actor its complete support.
