Ravanaprabhu Re-Release Collections: Mohanlal’s films are known to raise Kerala audiences for long up to high clouds for their release and almost always cross the threshold of the then latest trends confirming this. Of the re-released movies, crowds proved to be the biggest for Chotta Mumbai; and just four days ago, another of those classics made it, Ravanaprabhu, when it first bumped into the movies in 2001. The film continues to enthrall Malayalis till now.
Ravanaprabhu returned to theaters on October 10 with improved technical features to boost the audience experience. For the whole cinematic experience during its original run, those fans lined up to watch it.
The re-release is already a hit at the box office. As per reports from South Indian box office trackers, Ravanaprabhu made ₹2.60 crores in just four days. Experts predict that the collections would continue robust because of the heightened excitement and word of mouth among fans in the days to come.
Currently, Ravanaprabhu is in second place with re-release box office numbers reported to be in the range of ₹67-70 lakhs. The continued popularity of Mohanlal is evident in first place, with Sphadikam holding that position. Other MohaRegional spelling variant with an L can be added if desired, or drops directly onto this which might prove easier to work in for brevity and style-like movie releases that have fared well when returning to cinemas are Devadoothan, Manichitrathazhu and Chotta Mumbai.
This is the second part of the Devasuram estate movies that take place, with a continuation of Devasuram’s storyline, where the focus shifts, from its original protagonist Mangalassery Neelakandan character to his son Karthikeya. So Ravanaprabhu, in its re-release success, is further evidence of timeless Mohanlal magic and draws audiences who enjoy nostalgia, and will certainly help to ensure that expect as audiences to stroll back to the theatre, classic films will always seem to hold their magical charm.
