Mammootty is preparing to face a powerful challenge in the wrestling-based movie Chatha Pacha – Ring of Rowdies. The film directed by debutant Adwait Nair projects Mammootty alongside Arjun Ashokan, Roshan Mathew, and Ishan Shoukath as the leads. Certain rumors emerged that Mammootty would enact a wrestling coach, which might be a very important aspect of the storyline.
It is not officially confirmed by the makers though, inside buzz from the industry goes that there is a very crucial juncture that Mammootty’s character comes into the narrative. While some hinted that he might just make a guest appearance, industry sources say it’s a major role that will consume five days, central to the film’s flow. Expect an announcement soon.
Recently, the veteran actor shot portions for a Mahesh Narayanan film in Hyderabad and is now off to Dubai before moving to the UK to join the same project. The portions for Chatha Pacha will be shot after his return to Kerala, and the film will go towards the completion stage as and when those portions are done.
Chatha Pacha – Ring Of Rowdies stakes its claim to be a true pan-Indian action comedy wrestling entertainer. One of the film’s biggest highlights has to be that the triumvirate of Bollywood’s most under-rated composers, Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy, will be composing the music for their Malayalam debut.
Arjun Ashokan will play the role of Loco Lobo in this movie replacing an entry that Reel World Entertainment has produced in association with Trans World Group and Lensman Group. Members from Mammootty Kampany will also be part of the production team, with S. George and Sunil Singh acting as executive producers.
With high-end technicians, an exciting cast, and the power of Mammootty’s screen presence, Chatha Pacha – Ring of Rowdies promises to offer a fresh and entertaining premise on the world of wrestling in Malayalam cinema.
