Mohanlal- Tharun Moorthy Collaboration Set to Create Magic Again

Mohanlal- Tharun Moorthy: This is the second time Mohanlal, a superstar, and highly talented filmmaker Tharun Moorthy have teamed up for a new project after the huge success of Thudarum, one of the greatest Malayalam hits this year. Thudarum was one of those films that dropped out of the sky for audiences but raved about their critical reviews as well as in its commercial success despite almost no hype before its release. The film also marked the long-awaited reunion of Mohanlal and actress Shobana back after much hiatus time, which ups even more emotion to the already nostalgic charm of the film.

Announcement of the New Movie

Producer Rajaputhra Ranjith, who produced Thudarum, announced the next Mohanlal-Tharun Moorthy film officially at the Thudarum success celebration. “Tharun Moorthy is directing the next Mohanlal movie,” Ranjith confirmed setting off a wave of excitement among fans.

Reports also have it that Tharun Moorthy is currently busy with two other films, namely Torpedo and Operation Java 2, and the film with Mohanlal will begin once these projects are done.

Upcoming Works and Anticipations

Mohamed Tharun’s upcoming slate is also rated highly on film-by-film versatility. This venture would be another big shoot for Prithviraj Sukumaran as Operation Kambodia.

Meanwhile, Thudarum co-director and actor Binu Pappu’s script Torpedo cast stars Fahadh Faasil in the lead with Naslen, Arjun Das, and Ganapathi making up the rest of the cast. It produced under the Aashiq Usman Productions banner, wherein cinematography is handled by Jimshi Khalid with music composed by Sushin Shyam marking his return after a short break. Editing responsibilities lie with Vivek Harshan.
