Nivin Pauly’s Baby Girl: The producers of Baby Girl took to social media on Nivin Pauly’s birthday to release an eagerly awaited motion poster, generating plenty of conversation and excitement. Baby Girl showcases an exciting combination of a great producer, Listin Stephen, a director, Arun Varma, and well-known screenwriters, Bobby-Sanjay.
Produced under Magic Frames, Baby Girl is the second joint venture for Nivin Pauly and producer Listin Stephen. The writing team of Bobby and Sanjay is also reuniting with Listin, having previously delivered the landmark hit Traffic and the celebrated film How Old Are You. Director Arun Varma, who was in charge of Garudan starring Suresh Gopi before, yet again collaborates with Listin on this film.
This collaboration between Listin, Arun Varma, and Bobby-Sanjay makes Baby Girl one of the most anticipated Malayalam projects of this year-combining some of the trusted creative forces under one production house.
In a tender twist, the film’s title character “Baby Girl” is played by Rudra, who happens to be the 15-day-old daughter of the production manager of the film Akhil Yashodharan. The choice for an actual infant proves even more powerful in establishing the authenticity and emotional range of this story, which has already caught the public’s eye, especially after the announcement of the motion poster.
Baby Girl is described as a thriller featuring an astonishing ensemble cast which stars Lijomol Jose, Sangeeth Prathap, Abhimanyu Thilakan, Aziz Nedumangad, and Ashwath Lal. Faiz Siddik will do the cinematography, while Shaijith Kumaran will edit the film and Jakes Bejoy will score it.
It is produced by Justin Stephen and Naveen P. Thomas and is being shot in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi. Given the creative team and the emotional premise, Baby Girl promises to deliver yet another Nivin Pauly signature project.
