Operation Cambodia: Malayalam film Operation Java, which was a big hit with the audience as well as critics, is now receiving an official sequel. Entitled Operation Cambodia, the sequel is said to move to a bigger canvas, with plots taking place in an international backdrop.
One of the advantages of the project is the involvement of actor Prithviraj Sukumaran in the film, which will contribute to the interest and originality of the film among people in Kerala and the rest of India. Director Tharun Moorthy will be returning to direct the film, which will allow for the same realism and suspenseful storytelling philosophy as the previous film.
Actors from the Original Film Are Coming Back
Actors who played pivotal roles in Operation Java such as Lukman Avaran, Balu Varghese, Binu Pappu, Alexander Prasanth, Irshad Ali, and Deepak Vijayan will be reprising their characters as well. Each of these actors brought a level of naturalistic performance in Operation Java that the viewer will be happy to see them commit to for a second time.
The first part of the film focused on cases of cybercrime and the challenges faced by temporary members of the police in Kerala. This time the scope is much larger. As the title suggests, Operation Cambodia will take the story beyond borders of the nation and want to hint at international issues while maintaining its sense of realism.
It already boasts a stellar cast, a known director, and a film that is going to a location not seen before; Operation Cambodia is definitely one of the more expected Malayalam films in some time. Audiences are also craving to see how the sequel complements international intrigue with the sense of realism that has already made Operation Java a success.
