After huge anticipation, the Pradeep Ranganathan starer Dude will finally be hitting the cinemas on October 17, 2025, with immense hype surrounding the film. Portrayed as a coming-of-age romantic drama, Dude marks another feather in the cap of Pradeep Ranganathan, who finally made his way into the film industry after graduating to a fine writer-director-actor from making short films.
After he wrote and directed blockbusters entitled Comali and Love Today, expectations went sky-high for Dude. Viewers can’t wait to see how he will once again blend emotion, comedy, and the mood of modern-day relationships.
During Dude’s promotional campaign, a video that was filmed during the making of the film became viral, which featured in the video Pradeep Ranganathan and actress Mamitha Baiju. In the video, Pradeep affectionately pulls at Mamitha’s cheeks and hair, retroactively referencing one of the scenes in the trailer for the film.
In the re-enactment of the scene, the now-“famous” line from the film, “Not that cute” was quoted as well. The chemistry between the actors in the video thrilled fans, many of whom inundated the comments section with their excitement over their pairing in the film.
Written and directed by Keerthiswaran and produced under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar, the film also stars R. Sarath Kumar, Neha Shetty, and Hridu Haroon, among others, alongside Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju.
With Niketh Bommi as the cinematographer and Bharath Vikraman keeping the cutting room busy editing, Dude is all set for a really big theatrical release-promising laughter, love, and plenty of relatable moments.
