DIES IRAE: The brand new trailer augments the expectations raised by its first, further giving the audience a taste of suspense, mystery, and some bone-chilling thrills. It is too good to be true, with high production values and great visuals, rich immersive music, and even technically high-end cinematic experience. Trailers have already shown glimpses of production value and scale; teasers follow them. Now added value is the censor board’s A certificate. Wait is truly high for the types of film in the audience.
The music for the film has been made by Christo Xavier. The dynamic song that drew everyone’s attention was the “Day of Wrath,” which translates DIES IRAE into Malayalam. Released some days ago, it received an encouraging response. The song bears the trademark of the film’s intense and dramatic theme, thus building excitement even before the release.
This is how the distribution of E for Experiments should now be understood as the film’s distributing arm in Kerala, with Think Studios for the rest of India, excluding Karnataka, and Vike Films covering the Karnataka circuit. Internationally, Prime Media US distributes it in the United States and non-GCC countries, except for the UK and Australia, under Berkshear Dream House with Isangi Films.
The cinematography on the film is with Shehnad Jalal ISC; art direction is by Jyothish Shankar; editing by Shafeeq Muhammad Ali; sound design is by Jadevan Chakkadath; and mixing is by M.R. Rajakrishnan. The team that translates all of these into a burnished experience is why DIES IRAE stands tall amongst the best bets of cinema this year.
