Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Coolie, is one of the most highly anticipated films of the year.

Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial coolie is confirmed to be an action thriller.As this movie marks the duo’s first collaboration, the fans are now excited to hear updates about the release date of the movie.

As per the latest reports, Coolie’s release date has been postponed.
The film was supposedly aiming for a summer 2025 release, but according to the latest reports, the film’s release date has now changed to August.
Although there have been no official announcements from the makers’ side regarding the release date, as well as the postpontment of the film, it is evident that the speculations made are true- considering the packed schedule for Kollywood releases in 2025.

The Tamil-language action thriller Coolie is being produced by Kalanithi Maran’s Sun Pictures and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Along with Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, and Shruti Haasan, Rajinikanth plays the lead ,also Reba Monica John and Junior MGR play supporting parts.

As Rajinikanth’s 171st film as a lead actor, the movie was first formally announced in September 2023 under the provisional title Thalaivar 171. The official title was revealed in April 2024 .Therefore, The following July, principal photography got underway, and scenes were shot in Chennai, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Jaipur, and Bangkok. Girish Gangadharan handled the film’s cinematography, Philomin Raj edited it, and Anirudh Ravichander composed the soundtrack.
