Reba Monica John: Superstar Rajinikanth appeared before the audience last month with the movie Coolie. While expectations were sky-high before the release, the film turned out to be a major disappointment. Many viewers felt the storyline lacked freshness. Rumors even suggested that Aamir Khan, who made a guest appearance, regretted being part of the film. Now, actress Reba Monica John, who played a role in Coolie, has also openly expressed her disappointment.
Reba Monica John, known for Telugu films like Samajavaragamana, Mad Square, and Single, is also active in Tamil and Malayalam cinema. In Coolie, she played Shruti Haasan’s sister but appeared in only three or four scenes with no dialogue. During a recent Instagram interaction with her followers, Reba shared her feelings about the experience.

I am really upset and disappointed ☹️ I know I could have offered so much more but sometimes things dont go your way. Still I am happy that I got the chance to work with #Thalaivar #Rajinikanth 🙂

“I am very, very disappointed. I could have portrayed my role better, but things didn’t work out as planned due to circumstances. Still, I feel happy that I got the chance to act alongside Rajinikanth, Thalaivar,” Reba said.
Not just Reba, but several other characters in Coolie also suffered from poor screen space. Upendra’s role was minimal, Aamir Khan’s guest role lacked clarity, and Nagarjuna’s character, though introduced strongly, was left without a proper ending. After the film’s release, director Lokesh Kanagaraj faced heavy criticism, and trolling around the film continues even now.
