New information on the murder of Renukaswamy by imprisoned Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa is being circulated on the social media every day. The Karnataka government has since filed a plea to withdraw the actor’s recent temporary bail for medical reasons. Darshan has now asked for an extension of his bail while the case’s ultimate verdict is still pending.

The actor’s scheduled spinal surgery has not yet occurred, according to the arguments made by Darshan’s legal team. The actor has asked that his six-week interim bail be extended further since the medical treatment is essential to his health and will allow his surgery to occur within the allotted period.
For those who are unaware, according to some previous accounts, Darshan’s unstable vitals—particularly his blood pressure, which skyrocketed due to stress—caused the delay in his surgery, rendering him medically unfit to be operated on.
Since the court is now adjourned, the accused’s new plea has not yet been heard. In the meantime, the Karnataka government has revealed another significant development. Given that Darshan Thoogudeepa was directly involved in the murder of Chitradurga victim Renukaswamy, age 33, the body has contested the previous ruling to grant him temporary bail in the first place.

The government has now requested that the temporary bail be revoked as soon as possible in its current plea to the HC. At the most recent hearing for her bail, Darshan’s accomplice and fellow actress Pavithra Gowda, the other primary accused in the case, also gave her side of the story.
The actress’s attorney argued that this incident appears to be an isolated incident and that she has no prior criminal background. Additionally, her legal team argued that she was not personally responsible for Renukaswamy’s physical attack and subsequent murder, and that there was no conspiracy theory on her part.
