Pet Detective- the much-awaited movie, a Malayalam comic caper, are now set for a worldwide release on October 16. The film is produced under the joint aegis of Sharaf U Dheen for Sharafudheen Productions and Gokulam Gopalan for Sree Gokulam Movies; co-producers are Baiju Gopalan, V.C. Praveen, and Krishnamoorthy as executive producer. Distribution is by Dream Big Films.
Helmed by Praneesh Vijayan, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jay Vishnu, Pet Detective is touted as a complete adventure-based family comedy entertainer. The songs and posters released till now promise a fun, colorful cinematic experience. The energetic theme song “Thera Para Odikko” and the retro-styled “Tharalitha Yaamam” have taken the social media by storm, thus further increasing the expectation concerning the film.The tagline: “Complete Animal Domination”, fits perfectly with the quirky tone and comic spirit the makers aim to achieve.
Sharaf U Dheen reunites with Anupama Parameswaran after Padakkalam; this is their second film after the much-celebrated Premam. The cast also includes Vinay Forrt, Ranjith Panicker, and Jomon Jyothir in important roles.
This film is ably supported by an impressive technical team; Rajesh Murugesan composes music, Anand C. Chandran is the cinematographer, and Abhinav Sunder Nayak is doing the editing. Production design is by Deeno Shankar and audiography by Vishnu Govind.
With a brilliant cast, great music, and beautiful visuals, Pet Detective is already being touted as one of the most eagerly awaited pieces of entertainment in the Malayalam film clock for 2025- a full-on entertainer for viewers across ages.
