Simbu Virat Kohli biopic:
Kollywood actor Silambarasan TR, popularly known as Simbu, has expressed his wish to play Indian cricketer Virat Kohli in a biopic. His statement came after Kohli revealed that one of his favorite songs is from Simbu’s Tamil movie Pathu Thala.
Earlier this month, during an interview, Virat Kohli was asked about his favorite song. He smiled and said, “You will be shocked,” and then played Nee Singam Dhan from Pathu Thala on his phone. The song features Simbu and quickly went viral after Kohli’s clip surfaced online. Simbu shared the video on his social media, thanking the cricketer.
At a recent promotional event, Simbu said, “If a biopic is made on Virat Kohli, I would love to play him on screen. Many people have told me that I resemble him, not just in looks but also in attitude.” He added, “I was surprised and honored to know that Kohli listens to a song from my movie. It shows how art connects everyone.”
Virat Kohli, who recently retired from Test cricket, had an extraordinary career. In 123 matches, he scored 9,230 runs with 30 centuries, including 7 double hundreds. He also holds the record for the most double centuries by a Test captain.
Fans have noticed that both Simbu and Kohli share a few common traits sharp features, athletic build and fiery personalities. This has led many to agree that Simbu could be a perfect choice to portray the cricket legend.
Simbu’s interest and admiration for Kohli have excited both movie fans and cricket lovers alike. If the biopic happens, it might turn out to be a powerful tribute to one of India’s greatest
cricketers.
