Sivakarthikeyan ; Superstar Rajinikanth recently graced the special screening of his friend Kamal Haasan’s movie Amaran and praised Sivakarthikeyan for his outstanding performance and and expressed his heartfelt appreciation for film’s producer , Kamal Haasan.
Sivakarthikeyan’s biographical action war film Amaran has hit the theaters on Diwali this year clashing with big films like Jayam Ravi’s Brother, comedy drama film Bloody Beggar starring Kavin and Telugu film like Lucky Bhaskar , KA. Amidst the tough cometition from these films, Amaran standout with appreciation from the audience, critics and performing quite well at box office breaking records. Producers revealed that South legendary actor Rajinikanth took some time off from his busy schedule and watched Amaran in a special screening.
Amaran filmmakers Raaj Kamal Films International took to their official Twitter account @RKFI and shared a note , read ,” Superstar @rajinikanth He enjoyed watching his friend Kamal Haasan’s film ‘Amaran’ starring Sivakarthikeyan and directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy. Amaran is a direct adaptation of the book series India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh , which follows Major Mukund Varadarajan, who was martyred during the Qazipathri Operation in Shopian in 2014.
The giant Ott platform Netflix acquired post-theatrical streaming rights of the film and the satellite rights were acquired by Vijay TV for Tamil and by Star Network for other languages.
The biographical action war film released worldwide on 31 October 2024 in theatres, to widespread critical acclaim from critics who praised the lead cast’s performances, direction, screenplay, G. V. Prakash’s soundtrack and background score. The film earned Rs 42.7 crore worldwide on its opening day and Rs 40.3 crore on its second day worldwide, in total earned more than Rs 83 crore in just two days.
