Superstar Rajinikanth action entertainer Vettaiyan finally makes its grand digital debut after its grand worldwide theatrical debut on Vijayadashami 2024. To superstar fans who missed the action thriller in theaters now can stream it on this OTT platform from today, 8th November, 2024.

Rajinikanth action drama starrer Vettaiyan is directed by T. J. Gnanavel and banhrolled by Subaskaran Allirajah’s Lyca Productions is finally making it’s much awaited digital debut. The film stars Rajinikanth as Athiyan, a senior police officer, who accidentally shoots an innocent person during an encounter killing., while investigating the murder of a teacher.

The cast also features Amitabh Bachchan , Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Abhirami and Ramesh Thilak. Vettaiyan. Despite a stellar cast from different industries, Vettaiyan didn’t quite meet expectations during its theatrical run. However, its arrival on OTT provides a fresh opportunity for viewers to enjoy the film.

Vettaiyan was released worldwide on Vijayadashami i.e on 10 October 2024 in theatres, in multiple languages, like Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada languages to mixed reviews from critics who praised Rajinikanth’s outstanding performance and technical aspects, while the storyline, direction, execution and pacing received criticism.

The action drama film failed to live up to the high expectations and the prestigious cast from all over the country, and became a box office bomb. According to a source, the makers of the film, Lyca Productions, have asked Superstar to compensate for the loss by doing another film with them. There is no official confirmation regrading this.
