Suriya and Vetrimaaran’s much awaited action thriller Vaadivaasal. Now it is reported that their film Vaadivaasal will be a trilogy, with the tale divided into three parts. Check out for more updated about the project here.


Actor Suriya Shivakumar announced Vaadivaasal with critically acclaimed Tamil director Vetrimaaran in 2017 and the project was delayed due to multiple reasons and is finally gearing up for the shoot. Recently the filmmakers revealed that production for the highly anticipated project would commence soon. It is reported that Vaadivaasal will be made in three parts, with the shooting planned to be extensive and spread over a longer period.

According to reports the the National Award winning director ,Vetrimaaran has penned the screenplay for Vaadivaasal in such a manner that it will require 3 installments to be completed. Moreover, the report has also suggested that the movie would be shot in an extended manner, which is a usual norm in Vetrimaaran movies.


Vaadivaasal is planned to have strong action sequences and provide a cinematic experience that fans of Suriya and Vetrimaaran have long anticipated. According to Valai Pachu, director Vetrimaaran has written the screenplay in such a way that it will be spread out over three chapters to complete the plot. The source also claims that the film will be shot in an expanded format, which is distinctive of Vetrimaaran’s work. However, official confirmation of this change has yet to be obtained.

 Suriya’s upcoming action thriller Vaadivaasal is based on CS Chellappa’s renowned 1940s novel, follows Picchi and Marudan’s quest to tame a powerful bull that once defeated Picchi’s father during the traditional jallikattu event in Tamil Nadu. Which is set to feature a tale of revenge set against the backdrop of the Indian’s most controversial bull-taming festival in Tamil Nadu. The film is expected to hit the theaters worldwide in 2026 , makers yet to make an official announcement about film’s cast and release date .
