This Actor is currently working on his upcoming, Highly anticipated project ‘Kanguva’. Directed by Siva, This film features Suriya in triple role and Bobby Deol in a villain role while Disha Patani plays the female lead. ‘Kanguva’ is based on two timelines where one follows a tribal warrior fighting fiercely to protect his people a millennium ago, while the other centres on a cop in the present day.

Suriya reveals the vision behind Kanguva:

In a recent conversation, Suriya revealed his vision on making Kanguva. He first explained the meaning of the name ‘Kanguva’. He said, ‘Kanga is the name of a material that comes during a volcanic eruption. That material is called Kanga. When that word is used to name a person, it goes like Kanguva”. He meant to say that kanguva is usually the powerful person as fire.

Then Suriya talked about the vision of Kanguva. He explained saying, ” The scope of films has been very different from the last three years, post covid. It is now not possible to tell a story like we did back till 2018 or 2019. It was very different and now being digitalised and in the era of OTT. We have been telling alot of stories from various aspects till the bad disadvantages of tech. But its also important to tell our ancient stories, we have got thousands of years of stories and yugas of mythology. Why can’t we do this? Thats how kanguva happened.” Kanguva releasing worldwide on 14th of November, 2024.
