Thalapathy Vijay’s action thriller Master Re-Releases After 3 Years

Thalapathy Vijay is all set to entertain mass action lovers once again as Master scheduled to re-release soon. After three years, the movie is now gearing up for a re-release.

Dheeraj Films took to their official Twitter account and announced its re-release at Prasanna Theatre in Bengaluru on December 1, 2024. The movie will be shown as a mark of celebration for Vijay, who is soon going to clock 32 years of his acting career. The Lokesh Kanagaraj and Thalapathy Vijay collaborative Master touched a million hearts and went on to become a massive hit at the box office.

Master was released in theatres on 13 January 2021in Telugu, Kannada and Hindi (titled Vijay the Master) languages and received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics. It was the first Indian film to have occupied the first position in the global box office at the time of release. Irrespective of the fragmented theatrical release, and the early streaming release, the film grossed around ₹220–300 crore.

Lokesh Kangaraj’s directorial follows an alcoholic professor John Durairaj (J.D) , portrayed by Thalapathy Vijay, who is enrolled to teach at a juvenile facility, unbeknownst to him. He soon clashes with a ruthless drug mafia gangster Bhavani portrayed by Vijay Sethupathi , who uses the children as scapegoats for his crimes.

The action thriller flick’s is now streaming on gaint Ott platform Amazon Prime Video apart from it’s original version Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. And the Hindi dubbed version of Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi’s film Master is available to stream on ZEE5. After three years of it’s blockbuster theatrical release, the movie is now gearing up for a re-release.
