Movies Rejected By Nagarjuna:
However like every actor, Nagarjuna also had to say “no” to some films during his career. Some of these movies later became huge hits. If he had done these films, they might have added even more success to his journey.
Famous director Mani Ratnam offered him movies like Mouna Ragam, Gharshana, and Dalapathi, but Nagarjuna rejected them due to script or time issues. Later, these movies became very popular. In Dalapathi, Arvind Swamy played the role that Nagarjuna was first considered for.
Another film he missed was Sitamah Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. The makers wanted Nagarjuna in the lead role, but he didn’t agree. The film later starred Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu and became a big hit.
Director Ram Gopal Varma wanted to make a movie called Ramayanam with Nagarjuna 15 years ago. But the project was dropped because Nagarjuna didn’t agree. Varma believed that only Nagarjuna could do justice to the role.
Even Badri, which was finally made with Pawan Kalyan, was originally planned for Nagarjuna. Director Puri Jagannadh tried hard to cast him but it didn’t work out. However many of his fans were surprised for why he rejected Bhadri as it was one of the best films in Puri Jagannath career.
Though Nagarjuna missed these movies, he still gave his fans unforgettable films like Shiva, Annamayya, and Geethanjali. Fans sometimes feel sad that he said no to such big movies, but they also know that Nagarjuna has made many great choices in his career.
Sometimes, things don’t go as planned, but Nagarjuna’s place in Tollywood is strong and respected. His fans continue to support him and look forward to his upcoming 100th film.
