Thudarum: Mohanlal and Shobana’s film Thudarum was released. The film, which was directed by Tharun Moorthy, has been doing well in theaters thanks to positive word-of-mouth. But it was only recently discovered that the movie was being pirated.

According to media reports, a tourist bus played a bootleg version of Thudarum during the day while traveling from Vagamon to Malappuram. A student on the bus reportedly noticed the illegal screening and shared a video of it with actor Binu Pappu via his Facebook account. The film’s producer, M. Renjith, expressed anger over the unauthorized release and announced plans to file a lawsuit against those responsible. Other details of the case remain unclear.

Thudarum Story and Cast:

K. R. Sunil co-wrote the screenplay for the Malayalam crime thriller Thudarum. Mohanlal stars as Benz, also known as Shanmugham, a cab driver who lives a peaceful life with his wife Lalitha (played by Shobana) and their children in the hill town of Ranni. Their quiet routine shatters when Benz’s beloved vehicle becomes entangled in a police investigation. A mechanic, without Benz’s knowledge, uses the car for illegal smuggling, prompting the police to seize it.

CI George Mathan (Prakash Varma) agrees to release the car, but only in exchange for a favor. He demands that Benz drive him and his team to an event—an errand that unexpectedly turns into a sinister mission to dispose of a corpse in the forest. Benz later discovers, to his horror, that the body was his missing son, Pavi. The shocking twist deepens when Benz learns that George murdered Pavi due to his disapproval of a relationship between Pavi and George’s daughter. Driven by grief and rage, Benz embarks on a relentless pursuit of the truth—and vengeance.
