Unni Mukundan bloddy action thriller Marco set to releases in Tamilnadu

Unni Mukundan starrer Marco is all set grace Tamil release after smashing Malayalam box office. Marco, starring Unni Mukundan, was first released in Malayalam theaters on December 20 coinciding with Christmas weekend to great reviews.


Following the film’s popularity, the producers decided to distribute it in both Telugu and Tamil. While the Telugu-dubbed version will enter theaters on January 1, here’s all you need to know about the Tamil release.

Netizens hailed Marco as the most violent film of the year. Now the film is all set to entertain Tamil cinelovers as the Tamil-dubbed version is expected to hit theaters this week, on January 3. The creators and Unni Mukundan recently made the announcement on their respective social media accounts.

The action thriller film helmed by Haneef Adeni and bankrolled by Cubes Entertainments and Unni Mukundan films received critical acclaim, becoming the highest grossing A-rated Malayalam film of all time surpassing Kammatipaadam.

The bloddy action stars Unni Mukundan, alongside Siddique, Jagadish, Abhimanyu S Thilakan, Kabir Duhan Singh, Anson Paul and Yukti Tareja. The music was composed by Ravi Basrur, while cinematography and editing were handled by Chandru Selvaraj and Shameer Muhammed respectively. This film is full of blood and more blood and touted as the most violent in Indian cinema.

The film’s plot revolves around Victor, a blind man, witnesses his friend Wasim’s murder and identifies Russell Issac as the culprit with the help of his scent and vehicle. To silence him, Russell kills Victor, leaving his brother George devastated. Marco, their adopted sibling, returns from Italy and vows to avenge Victor.

It received widespread critical acclaim from critics and audience with praise for its cast performances (especially Unni Mukundan’s), action sequences, cinematography, musical score and technical aspects. Audience hailed actor Unni Mukundan outstanding performance and it is reported that theaters in North India are reportedly replacing Varun Dhawan’s Baby John with Marco.
