Vidaamuyarchi much anticipated first single Sawadeeka starring Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishann set for release.
Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan are gearing up for the release of their most awaited action thriller film Vidaamuyarchi is expected to join Pongal 2025 box office race. The film is written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni and bankrolled by Subaskaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions.

The action thriller plot revolves around A man, who ventures into a notorious desert area in search of his missing ex-wife, only to uncover a dangerous web controlled by a ruthless gangster. His personal quest quickly turns into a high-stakes battle for survival, exposing dark secrets that threaten his life and the fragile balance of the criminal underworld.
Hollywood renowned production company Paramount Pictures reportedly filed a notice against the film’s makers, few days after the teaser’s release alleging that the film shared similarities with Breakdown and sought damages of Rs 150 crore for the violation of intellectual property rights The cas was dismissed as it was confirmed that the makers had brought the film’s rights, three months prior, due to their resemblance in the storyline.
According to a source film’s director, Magizh Thirumeni, requested to film a few more scenes, but Ajith Kumar only agreed to 10 days of reshoots. about a married couple whose trip is disrupted when the wife goes missing. The soundtrack is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and edited by N. B. Srikanth. The film’s audio rights were acquired by Sony Music India.
The giant Ott platform Netflix acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights for whopping amount of Rs 100 crore, while the satellite rights were acquired by Sun TV and the Tamil Nadu distribution rights have been acquired by Red Giant Movies.
Vidaamuyarchi starring Ajith Kumar, Arjun Sarja, Trisha Krishnan, Arav, Regina Cassandra and Ramya Subramanian is scheduled to be theatrically released in January 2025, coinciding with Pongal in Tamil and Telugu languages.
