According to a reliable source, the OTT rights of this movie have been bought by Amazon Prime for Rs. 121 crore. The satellite rights were acquired by Sun Network, a subsidiary of Kollywood’s big production company Sun Pictures, for Rs. 55 crore. Also, in the midst of fierce competition for the theatrical rights in Tamil Nadu, Romeya Pictures Rahul bought them for around Rs. 90 crore. The audio rights were acquired by T-Series for a huge price. Thus, ‘JanaNayagan ‘ has brought in more than Rs. 250 crore in revenue to the producers before its release. The movie will be released on January 9, 2026, as a gift for Sankranthi.
Vijay, who entered Tamil politics last year, founded a party called Tamilaga Vetri Kalagam. Speaking at the first general council meeting of TVK held in March this year, Vijay said that the 2026 Tamil Nadu assembly elections will be a contest between TVK and DMK. ‘Who can stop the wind, rain, sun and nature? All these are created by God. Similarly, no one can stop the politics that is being carried out for our people,’ Vijay said. On the other hand, there are criticisms that Vijay’s political speeches and style of conduct are like following Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena. Vijay, who previously remade Pawan Kalyan’s hit films in Tamil and became a star hero, is now following him in politics and engaging in copy politics.
