Bollywood stars Yami Gautam and Amit Sadh, as well as South sensation Vijay Deverakonda, had the honor of meeting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday in New Delhi.

PM Modi highlighted India’s transition from reliance to independence during the past ten years during the occasion, claiming that only by working together will the country realize its goal of being a developed nation by 2047. Modi stated during his speech at the event, “India is now a country that fulfills its ambitions rather than only having them.”
He said, “We must reflect on the past to understand how India has progressed–from dependence to self-reliance, from aspiration to achievement. A decade ago, mothers and sisters were forced to limit themselves between sunset and sunrise for basic sanitation needs, but the Swachh Bharat Mission has resolved that.”
He also spoke about the welfare initiatives taken by the government. He said, “In 2013, expensive medical care was a challenge, but Ayushman Bharat has provided a solution. Today, they have access to water from every household through ‘Har Ghar Se Nal Jal.”
Additionally, he added, “Our government uses every penny of taxpayers’ money with honesty and also respects the taxpayers. The government has made the tax system more taxpayer-friendly.”
