India – Australia: Indian cricket team is all set to tour in Australia starting from 19th October, the tour has 3 ODI’s and 5 T20’s. The BCCI recently announced a squad touring the continent, now the Australian cricket board announced their squad. Australia Squad for ODI’s

Mitchell Marsh(C), Xavier Bartlett, Alex Carey(Wk), Cooper Connolly, Ben Dwarshuis, Nathan Ellis, Cameron Green, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Mitchell Owen, Matthew Renshaw, Matt Short, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa.

This Australian cricket squad has 8 proper batsmen including all-rounders and 5 bowlers and a couple of wicket keeper batsmen. If on a given day and proper conditions this squad can become one deadly unit. After some time Mitchell Starc has returned to play ODI’s. One surprise is that Marnus Labuschagne was dropped from the squad.

Squad for T20’s  

Mitchell Marsh(C), Sean Abbott, Xavier Bartlett, Tim David, Ben Dwarshuis, Nathan Ellis, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Matthew Kuhnemann, Mitchell Owen, Matt Short, Marcus Stoinis, Adam Zampa.

This Australian cricket T20 squad has more power in Tim David, Marcus Stoinis in the middle order, and Travis Head can be a deadly batsman upfront with Inglis and Marsh to follow, getting these 5 wickets could be the key for India to win this 5 match series. Glenn Maxwell has been sidelined because of an injury.

Indian Squad surprise

BCCI surprised everyone when they named Shubman Gill captain for the ODI side instead of Rohit Sharma, they included Rohit in the squad but not as a captain. Virat Kohli is in the squad. This decision of naming Shubman has drawn mixed reactions from netizens, since Rohit transformed himself to be fit for the series.    

Bumrah has been rested for ODI’s, Mohmmad Siraj will headline the bowling unit this tour.
