The surprising part of this tournament is when Indian player Jhulan Goswami overtook Kapp as the all-time highest wicket taker in the Women’s World Cup with a whopping 44 wickets. Now the match is going to get more intense as both teams are going to fight for the Champions Trophy. Let’s now look at how important this World Cup is for the Indian women’s team.

One other chapter that is recorded in the history of the Indian women’s team was during the 2017 World Cup. This match was also led by Mithali Raj, who showed one of the strongest performances. During this, Harmanpreet Kaur was one player who stood out for her strong performance in the match. After defeating Australia in the semi-final, India has entered into finals once again after 2005. During the finals, India faced England, which turned out to be nail-biting moments towards the end. Unfortunately, India has again lost by just 9 runs. Yes, this sounds close, but this defeat who very hurtful for most of the cricket fans. But after this match, there was huge public support for the women’s team, which helped boost up for the upcoming matches.
