India’s Playing 11 Against Bangladesh in Champions Trophy

Team India is all set to begin its Champions Trophy journey with an exciting encounter with Bangladesh on February 20. The two-time Champions would face their neighbors at the Dubai International Stadium. Brimming high on confidence after whitewashing England in the recent ODI series, the Men in Blue like to continue the same momentum in the Champions Trophy. The last time India and Bangladesh faced each other at this Venue was in 2018 during the Asia Cup Final, where India emerged victorious. However, the Indian squad would never underestimate Bangladesh and its ability to upset opponents on any day. Ahead of the clash between India and Bangladesh, know the probable playing 11 of the Indian squad.

It will be a challenging task for the skipper and team management to select the Indian squad. Team India boasts a solid reserve bench. However, Rohit will pick his playing 11, depending on the pitch and conditions. The biggest question would be whether India goes with three fast bowlers and two spinners or two pacers with three spin bowlers.

Led by Rohit Sharma, senior players like Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer will find a spot in the playing squad. Dubai ground is pacer-friendly, and India expects pacers like Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, and Harshit Rana to show their prowess. Hardik Pandya will serve as the fourth pacer. It will be interesting to see if India goes with senior spinners Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Singh or prefer Varun Chakravarthy and Washington Sundar. India will likely play Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja, the left-arm spinners and allrounders, alongside Varun Chakravarthy. KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant are strong contenders for wicket-keeper batters. Considering their recent form, KL Rahul might keep the wickets.

India enters the Champions Trophy 2025 after whitewashing Jos Buttler-led England recently. India registered a comfortable 3-0 victory against the mighty England side. Virat Kohli finding his form, Shubhman Gill ascending to the top spot in ODI world rankings, Shreyas and KL Rahul in good touch sets high expectations on Rohit Sharma & Co.
