IPL 2025: Top Bowlers and significant victories

In the first week, batsmen dominated the matches in the first five games in the IPL 2025 season. But, now the bowlers dominate the second week in this season. Many bowlers made a significant mark in the IPL 2025 with the big wins in the tournament. Among then Ashwani Kumar has made history in IPL 2025.

Ashwani Kumar’s IPL History:

Prior to Shardul Thakur opening the floodgates, Noor Ahmad’s 4/18 against MI was the only four-wicket haul in the season’s first six games. When Shardul faced Sunrisers Hyderabad in match 7, he recorded his best IPL numbers (4/34). Delhi Capitals pacer Mitchell Starc registered his maiden five-wicket haul in T20s on Sunday. In Sunday’s match between RR and CSK, Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga hurt CSK’s back with a four-wicket haul of his own.

But Monday’s match between the Mumbai Indians and the reigning champions, KKR, was the week’s high point. When the 23-year-old Punjabi left-arm bowler Ashwani Kumar took a wicket off his first IPL ball, he created history. He accomplished the remarkable accomplishment, becoming the tenth bowler to do it. He continued after that. In his IPL debut, he recorded the highest ever statistics (4/24) by an Indian and added three more wickets to his total.

Expensive Player continues to struggle:

Among the top 10 players in the IPL 2025, Rishabh Pant was sold for 27 crores, making him the most expensive players in the IPL history. Following pant, Shreyas Iyer, Venkatesh Iyer and many others joined in this club.

Against his old team, the Delhi Capitals, Rishabh Pant began his time as captain of LSG with a duck. He then had two more poor scores: two against PBKS and fifteen against SRH. When Venkatesh Iyer of KKR scored three runs against the Mumbai Indians, he had yet another setback. This season, Venkatesh has scored nine runs in two innings.

Shreyas Iyer, the skipper of the Punjab Kings, continues to defy expectations after hitting his second fifty in two innings. In addition, he became the third player overall and the first Indian skipper to hit fifty in the first two innings of a team’s leadership.

Top Teams in this season

Having won two of their last two games, RCB, PBKS, and DC are still undefeated. Only one of their three games has been won by CSK, MI, KKR, RR, SRH, and LSG.

Of all the drops, CSK’s was the most spectacular. On Friday night, the lads in yellow were in a comfortable position. Their bowling combinations and batting depth were called into doubt after they suffered two losses in three days. After losing their last two games, SRH is in a similar predicament to CSK. The Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians won at home to end their two-game losing streak.
