Nita Ambani appreciates Vignesh Puthur on IPL Debut with “Best bowler”

Following his outstanding debut against the Chennai Super Kings on March 23 at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Cricket Stadium, Mumbai Indians star bowler Vignesh Puthur was given a special award by franchise owner Nita Ambani. In their debut IPL match, the new spin prodigy has taken three wickets against the hosts and made an outstanding impression with his bowling spurts.


Vignesh Puthur, who replaced Rohit Sharma as an impact replacement, made an immediate impression with the ball, with figures of 3/32 in his four overs, which included the valuable scalp of CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Even though he didn’t receive player of the match he was appreciated by MS Dhoni and Nita Ambani for his extraordinary performance. The youngster was clearly in a star-struck moment when MS Dhoni gave him a pat and told a few encouraging words. Following this, Nita Ambani noticed that young spinner performance and gave him the best bowler’s award. After receiving the award, Vignesh touched Nita Ambani’s feet and took blessings.

Following this he thanked everyone in the team and gave a special thanks to captain Suryakumar Yadav for his support and giving opportunity. He said, “I want to thank the MI franchise for allowing me to play. I never thought in my life I would play with all these players…Surya ‘Bhai’ was very supportive, that’s why I didn’t feel that much pressure.” Mumbai Indians are going to next face Gujart Titans in Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 29th.

Vignesh is presently persuing his MA In English Literature from PTM Government College, Calicut University. He is a left arm spinner from Malappuram, Kerala. He was noticed while he was playing in Kerala cricket League(KCL).

Vignesh is the son of an autorickshaw driver and his mom is a housewife He is now famous for his most iconic debut in IPL history, He took 3 wickets of Gaikwad, Dube, and Hooda. After his special applause from MS Dhoni, it is very noticeable that he is something special for Mumbai Indians.
