The league is run by JetSynthesys, a pioneer in digital entertainment and technology worldwide. As the biggest e-cricket and entertainment league in the world, it has 300 million lifetime downloads. Real Cricket is the game used to play the GEPL.

In addition to that, the league has experienced exponential growth during its first season. Player interest increased fivefold to 910,000 registrations from 200,000 in Season 1. Also, GEPL has established itself as a leader in cricket esports.
