Vijay Mallya’s Unmissable Message After Team Wins Title

Vijay Mallya: In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 final on Tuesday, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) ended an 18-year drought by defeating the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and winning the trophy for the first time. The RCB final had the honor of taste success after being ridiculed and humiliated for years of failed T20 league appearances despite being one of the most popular teams. When Vijay Mallya, the team’s former owner and fugitive, expressed his thoughts on the elusive victory, social media as a whole erupted.


The driving force behind RCB is Vijay Mallya, who acquired the team in 2008 during the T20 league’s debut season. Mallya had the privilege of selecting Virat Kohli for the squad. Mallya has helped the team acquire players like Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers throughout the years. Gayle and De Villiers were among those who attended the event to share in the occasion with Kohli as he raised the IPL trophy.

Vijay Mallya congratulated RCB for the victory through his official X account, “RCB are IPL Champions finally after 18 years, superb campaign right through the 2025 tournament. A well-balanced team Playing Bold with outstanding coaching and support staff. Many congratulations! Ee sala cup namde !!”

Following this, he also wrote, “When I founded RCB, I dreamed that the IPL trophy should come to Bengaluru. I had the privilege of picking the legendary King Kohli as a youngste,r and, remarkably, he has stayed with RCB for 18 years. I also had the honour of picking Chris Gayle, the Universe Boss and Mr 360 AB DeVillers, who remain an indelible part of RCB history. Finally, the IPL trophy arrives in Bengaluru. The Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings are still the only two teams that have participated in the IPL since 2008 to have failed to win the trophy after RCB’s success.
