Battlefield 6 is going to be released this week. It will be available on PC as well as the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X. EA has now announced when the game will globally be released, and players can pre-load the game on certain platforms. That means you will be ready to play on launch day.
The game will officially begin unlocking on October 10 in most countries. In the US, players will be able to start playing at 8 AM PDT. For players in the UK, they will be able to get in at 4 PM BST time. However, if you are in India, players will have to wait until October 11 at 2:30 AM IST to start playing.
You can already pre-load the game. The pre-loading option is currently live on Steam as well as the PlayStation Store. This is also available on the Xbox Store; however, the Epic Games Store does not offer pre-loading.
Season 1 of the game will be live on October 28; this will be a free update to the game, and will include new maps, game modes, new weapons, and vehicles. The season is called “Rogue Ops.”
The first feature being added in the first phase of season 1, is that the map Blackwell Fields will be added to the game. Players will also see a new 4v4 mode introduced called Strikepoint mode. In addition, new vehicles will be introduced to game along with new weapons, and gun attachments. Everything will be available on Season 1: Phase One, which is available on October 28.
Phase Two begins on November 18. The new map is called Eastwood, and an 8v8 mode is added called Sabotage. Also being introduced is Battle Pickups. New weapons and attachments come with this phase’s content.
The last phase begins on December 9. It will introduce a limited time winter map, a snowy version of the Empire State map. There will be a limited time event. There will be a new melee weapon introduced.
Battlefield 6 will have competition. It launches just before Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. This means a major competition for shooter fans. Both launches are aiming for player time and attention. The holiday will be competitive.
