Many Windows 11 users experience Bluetooth-related problems. Such issues block device connection and audio playback. The good news is that you can fix these inconveniences on your own without the need to service your device. Just follow these simple steps and you’ll have a quick repair.
First, run Microsoft’s automated troubleshooter. Get Help application on your PC will be your assistant here. Search for the bluetooth troubleshooter tool. Once launched, the tool will scan the system automatically. It detects and repairs in most cases where Bluetooth cannot function correctly.
The prerequisite for the proper use of Bluetooth is the device itself having a Bluetooth module. Some computers don’t come with Bluetooth hardware. Check your device’s specifications online if you are not sure. You can also check if there is a Bluetooth sign on your laptop. A Bluetooth USB adapter may need to be purchased if your system doesn’t have Bluetooth.
This step looks very obvious, but unfortunately, many people forget to do it. You can hardly find a person who would just turn on Bluetooth without being asked, yet many people simply overlook the very act of turning it on. Just click on the action center on your taskbar. Locate a small square icon in the right-bottom part of the desktop. Make sure the Bluetooth box is activated. A blue color should indicate that the feature is available.
Make sure your Bluetooth device is charged. Keep it within your computer’s range. For a better Bluetooth connection, it is recommended that you first restart the device and then turn on the headphones or speakers that you want to connect and set them for pairing. Your computer may not be visible to others. Navigate to the Windows Settings menu on your PC. Select the Bluetooth & devices option. Click on the Devices section. Locate the option for device discovery. Setting this to “Advanced” will give you the best results for discovering devices.
Transitioning to the older driver will inevitably result in the driver’s inability to establish a smooth connection and therefore, connection failures. Pressing the Windows key + X simultaneously will bring up the menu with the option Device Manager; click it to open. Give a right-click on the adapter of Bluetooth. Choose “Update driver” from the list of the menu options.
Firstly, make the removal of the device that bothers you from the list of the gadgets that are paired with your PC. Enter the Bluetooth Settings. Locate the list of paired devices. Click the device and select the option “Remove”. After that, go ahead with the pairing as if it was the first time. In many cases, it helps to get rid of the stored connection in the device.
