Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Beta Hit by Cheaters Before Full Release

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Beta Hit by Cheaters Before Full Release

The beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is now available, and thousands of players are playing the new multiplayer modes. Unfortunately, there are also cheaters in the early access. Players are already reporting hacks and cheats such as wallhacks (the ability to see through walls) and aimbots (perfect aim).

Reports of Cheating All Over

Social media is quick to fill with cheating clips, with players sharing videos on platform X. The videos almost always have the same indications that a player is now cheating, and there is any number of tricks that indicate the player in question has cheats enabled.

Aimbots, wallhacks, and other cheats like auto fire make it clear when a player has an unfair advantage, making these types of videos even more frustrating for the community.

Activision Responds

Meanwhile, Activision is reacting and responding to reports of cheating quickly. The anti-cheat system is called Ricochet, and the company has already begun banning players who were reported for cheating. The official Call Of Duty updates account tweeted out the bans. They have also been actively replying to posts on social media site X.

New Security Measures Against Cheating

Activision detailed new security in their blog, mentioning that their “goal is to usher in the most robust anti-cheat protections to date.” This is part of the Ricochet system, and to use it players will have to enable a number of recent PC settings such as TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot, which prevents cheating software from running in the first place.

Future Enhancements to Security

Activision is introducing a new feature called Remote Attestation. This feature will be available when the full game drops on November 14. This feature can provide the best protection possible. Activision is constantly updating its anti-cheat measures and is committed to maintaining the game’s integrity.
