DJI has introduced its new Osmo 360 action camera to the Indian and global markets. The newly designed camera documents native 8K video and comes with several brand-new features. At this time, DJI is calling it their most sophisticated production model.
The Osmo 360 includes a 1 – inch square HDR sensor, a first-of-its-kind design that improves image clarity and sensor efficiency, and lens performance. This sensor is a 1/1.1 inch CMOS sensor that offers an f/1.9 aperture with 13.5 stops of dynamic range to produce crisp, colourful footage. The 1 – inch sensor uses 25% more space than traditional rectangular sensors because it eliminates the portion of the sensor that is unused and increases the number of available pixels.
The Osmo 360 is capable of running native 8K video at 50fps, and continuous shooting of 8K 30 fps video for 100 minutes. The Osmo 360 comes with a Single-Lens Mode that is capable of shooting 5K 60 fps video in a 155-degree front viewing field of view (FoV). You can utilize a Boost Mode to increase the FoV to 170 degrees but the frame rate drops to 4K 120fps. The Osmo 360 supports 4x slow-motion video, and you can shoot photographs in 360 degrees at a massive 120-mp.
The Osmo 360 has smart features that autonomously subtract the selfie stick out of the 360 videos so you can have clean, third-person shots. Additionally, the Osmo 360’s smart features allow you to use gesture and voice commands making it easier to utilize while in action or travelling. Photos save as a JPEG file type while videos save in OSV and mp4 (HEVC) file formats.

The Osmo has 128GB built-in storage with 105GB available and supports microSD expansion.
