Google’s highly anticipated event, Made By Google, will take place on August 20, showcasing their Pixel 10 series, Pixel Buds 2a, and Pixel Watch 4. Exciting things we can expect, including upgrades such as the Pixelsnap charger are awaiting us. Here’s a breakdown of what is expected, and how to live stream the event if you’re in India.
Google has committed to launching four phones, the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. All are expected to be sporting a Google Tensor G5 processor, that is 3nm in design, for increased app performance. They will launch running Android 16. The Pixel 10 will sport triple rear cameras – including a periscope telephoto camera which would be a first for base model Pixel.
The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL are expected to feature a 50MP main camera, 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP ultra wide sensor. The Fold variant will most likely feature a 48MP primary lens, 10.8MP telephoto with a 10.5MP ultra wide all configured on the rear camera. Expect a vibrant FHD+ display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate on all of these devices.
On to chargers, we introduce Pixelsnap, a magnetic charger that is similar to Apple’s MagSafe, designed specifically for the Pixel 10 series that simply attaches to your device for easy, fast charging.
This feature could help Pixel phones differentiate themselves in a crowded space, especially competiting against Apple’s anticipated iPhone 17 series.
The Pixel Watch 4 may have a more streamlined circular look. Its charging port is now a left-side charge port, instead of a back charge port. If rumors are to be believed, the watch could charge 25% faster than the last one. The watch might include a curved 3D display featuring peak brightness of 3000 nits. Moonstone may also be a new color option.
Google’s Pixel Buds 2a will likely include Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) for the first time in the A-series. If they do include ANC, they might have a 20 hour run time with the case on. You can get Fog Light, Hazel, Strawberry, or Iris, so you can look stylish while getting great sound.
